Animal welfare

Modern zoo practices rightly demand high levels of animal welfare. Recently introduced legislation has created new operating climates for zoos, wildlife parks, aquariums and marinelands which requires them to have comprehensive education, conservation and research policies and programmes.

This theme is central to our philosophy and culture and is borne out in the design and construction of all our enclosures and exhibits.

Working in partnership with the world's largest full time freelance zoological veterinary practice, we provide professional help in both veterinary and non-veterinary areas from licensing, conservation and education issues to the preparation of briefs and interpretation content for new species and exhibits, making the animals' welfare the primary consideration in all our designs.
